Yesterday I Got Some Texts From People Asking Me If Frank Ocean Was Gay Or Bisexual, Whatever You Want To Call It. Honestly, At First I Really Brushed It Off. I Figured It Was Just People Being Bored, Wanting Something To Do, So What They Did Was Try To Hurt The Name Of The Talented Singer/Songwriter. I Read One Article And Decided I’d Jut Have To Wait Until Channel Orange Comes Out.
Then Frank Ocean Released This Via His Tumblr Today —> http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m6me6uSdO81qdrz3yo1_1280.png
I Can Say This About Frank Ocean: Good For Him. In Real Life I Could Care Less What People Do In The Bedroom, And This Doesn’t Make Him Any Less A Person Or Artist. And The Fact That He Came Out In This Way Is Courageous As Hell, But It Just Adds To The Respect That I Already Showed Him.
When I Listen To Music I Want Honesty. Some Of My Favorite Musicians And Some Of The Best Musicians Speak On Non-Fiction Instances In Their Life. Frank Ocean Is An Artist That Is A Part Of That Category. I’m Pretty Sure Writing Has Always Been An Outlet For Him, Only Difference Now Is That It’s More Public. So Being That Your Work Is Now Out There, It Could Prove Difficult To Include Some Aspects Of Your Life That May Be Blown Out Of Proportion. But Like I Said Before, He Was Honest, To Us When He Didn’t Have To Be, But To Stay True To His Music He Kept It Real And I Respect That.
It’s 2:39AM, I’m Playing “Thinking About You” Cuz It’s My Shit, And I Will Continue To Be An Avid Fan. I’ve Been A Fan Since Lupe Gave Him A Cosign Before Nostalgia, Ultra, Not Stopping Now. If His Orientation Changes Your Perception Of Him In A Negative Manner Grow Up. And Eat A Dick. Dickhead.
Once Again, Shoutout To Frank Ocean. Good For You Yo. Channel Orange July 17.
